Income offer is competitive with a base salary supplemented by production incentives and options to “buy in” after a year as an owner in the practice. Any terms would be outlined at the outset to avoid confusion or misunderstandings, but basically would involve an equitable division of current worth of the practice and liabilities.

Any new associate would be expected to enthusiastically support our efforts to expand by practicing full-time, participate in hospital duties, nursing home care, extended hours (nights and weekends), and call coverage (anticipate a 1:4 arrangement).

Residency training in family practice and ABFP board certification are minimum requirements for any prospective associate. These requirements are not negotiable.

Rainsville Family Practice utilizes electronic medical records (QD Clinical). Any new associate will be expected to use this system, as well.

Political activities: Active participation in the medical political world is encouraged.

Vacation, CME, and sick time: Since the income formula involves production, there will be no set limit. In general, it is anticipated a total of six weeks per year should be sufficient to address these needs.

Additional benefits include health insurance and professional liability insurance premiums. Assuming success in expanding the practice, retirement plans and other benefits will be added.

Future plans would include the recruitment of additional partners and growing the practice into a multi-specialty group. If you have what it takes, and you want to help us as we move into the future, call now to arrange a visit. (256-845-1401; tlhortonmd@rainsvillefamilypractice.org )
