Prior Authorizations
Prior authorizations: Except
for unusual cases when no other options are available, we do
not get involved with prior
authorizations. This is a time consuming intrusion
into the doctor-patient relationship, and it ultimately is
an issue between the patient and the insurance company.
If the involvement in this purely clerical activity is required, there will be an administrative fee charged directly to the patient which is not billable to insurance. This fee will be payable at the time of the service and is due regardless of the outcome of the prior authorization application request. (Rate - $250/hr, $25 minimum)
