Phone and email: It is our policy to avoid discussing sensitive medical information by telephone or by e-mail. This policy exists to protect both the patient and our office as we attempt to avoid medical mistakes and to protect patient privacy. Please be aware that we legally cannot and will not discuss medical information with a third party without the patient's permission except as required by law (insurers, other physicians involved with care, etc.). If a patient wishes for us to be able to discuss their care with one or more specific individuals (including family members), the patient needs to complete the permission form available in our office.
